Ocean Beef steers mature during 18 months of free-range grazing in Wakanui, a rural coastal region on New Zealand’s South Island. Only those displaying exceptional Angus genetics are chosen for 150 days of grain finishing and pampering in Wakanui’s 5-Star feedlot. Wheat, barley, and ryegrass straw enrich their feed. Ocean breezes freshen the air reducing dust, odors and insects. Gentle handling is the norm.
